Love Your Birth Control

A fresh visual identity for informed, empowered choices

WV FREE is a reproductive health, rights, and justice nonprofit based in Charleston, West Virginia, serving communities across the state. Through education and advocacy, the organization helps West Virginians understand their options and make informed decisions about their reproductive health.

I partnered with WV FREE to refresh its Love Your Birth Control campaign, bringing a bold new look to materials that educate people about their birth control options. The project combined campaign branding with educational design. We wanted to create something bold and playful, while maintaining the clarity that health information requires..

I developed a vibrant color palette, redesigned the campaign logo, and created new postcards to hand out. I designed a chart to allow people to compare their various options. I wanted to make this campaign feel approachable, expressive, and relevant to younger adults.

New Campaign Logo

This chart helps people compare 13 birth control methods in one convenient reference. Fitting this much information into a 36-by-24-inch poster required a lot of care. It was important that, above all else, this poster was readable to patients who may find it hanging on the walls of their doctor’s office or a clinic. Click the poster to view a full-size PDF.
